HENRY – SPURS COULD LOSE SOME PLAYERS THIS SUMMER

Premier League legend turn pundit Thierry Henry has taken a dive into the Tottenham Hotspur side set to finish in second spot this term.

The Frenchman says that if the team does not start winning titles soon they would lose their best players.

Spurs’ stars are subject to numerous transfer rumours following the impressive run of the team. They recently humbled Manchester United and Arsenal to confirm their elevation to the Premier League big boys’ club. However, there is a big problem.

Spurs have not won any title since their League Cup victory in 2008. They have put in a strong challenge in the last two seasons. Henry opines that the team needs trophies as soon as possible to help them retain their best players.

Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen, Kylie Walker and Danny Rose are amongst the Spurs players that could leave the team soon as they garner interests from top sides. The team said goodbye to their stadium White Hart Lane on an impressive not by defeating the Red Devils 2-1. With their strong and intelligent manager Mauricio Pochettino, there is hope of better things to come but Henry says it has to be now.

“We’re talking about players and we saw Pochettino talk before, I think he’s the main reason why guys want to stay because they can see a future.

“But in two, three years, if you don’t have anything to show, that is going to be a big reason to maybe listen to the likes of Real Madrid, the likes of Barcelona, the likes of whoever is going to try and get you,” Henry warned.

The pundit added that the players might get more money by way of new deals but that the allure of winning titles would get the better of them sooner or later.
