Chelsea's Pierre-EmerickAubameyang'sWoes Are Compounded by Injury

Injuries have piled up for Chelsea as they gear up for their upcoming match against Leicester. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has struggled with form and fitness all season, has added injury to his list of woes, and will not feature in the game. Reece James and Raheem Sterling are also likely to sit out of the game due to illness and injury, respectively.

Despite these setbacks, the mood at Stamford Bridge is improving after two consecutive wins against Leeds and Borussia Dortmund in the Premier League and Champions League. However, the trip to the King Power Stadium will present a tough challenge, particularly with several key players missing.

In a fitness update, Potter informed the media that Reece James had been unwell and would not be available for selection. Raheem Sterling had a minor hamstring issue and is doubtful for the game. Aubameyang has a back problem and is unlikely to make an appearance, while N'Golo Kante will also miss out as the club looks to build him up.
The Blues will need to dig deep to come away with a positive result against a tough Leicester side, but with the confidence starting to build, they will be hoping to overcome the injury setbacks and continue their recent run of form.
Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's arrival at Chelsea was orchestrated by Thomas Tuchel, his former boss at Dortmund. However, Tuchel was abruptly fired and replaced by Graham Potter, who has had a tough time fitting Aubameyang, who has only managed to score three goals in 18 games this season, into his plans. It was evidenced by Aubameyang being excluded from the squad entirely in their game against Fulham at Stamford Bridge and was spotted in Milan.
When asked about Aubameyang's absence, Potter admitted that it was a difficult decision to make but sometimes, tough choices had to be taken. He acknowledged that Aubameyang had done nothing wrong and empathized with the striker's disappointment.
In contrast, Ukrainian winger Roman Yaremchuk has impressed Potter, who has said that he has potential and has been improving every day. Potter's assessment of Yaremchuk implies that he could play a key role in Chelsea's future. However, there is less positive news regarding Mason Mount, who is recovering from an injury in his lower abdomen. Although the England international is eager to help the team, Potter has stated that he may need more time to fully recuperate.
