Arsenal icon Thierry Henry believes that the club can win the Premier League title this season only if winger Alexis Sanchez is on his top form.

Arsenal have once again made a strong start to the league campaign which has led to talk of a potential title challenge. Over the past decade, there have been several false challenges from the gunners. This time around, they could be a serious proposition given the strength in depth that they have throughout the pitch. Olivier Giroud and Robin Van Persie have been the major source of course goals for the club over the last decade.

The kind of dominance given out by these strikers are certainly pale in comparison with Thierry Henry’s contribution. Arsenal winning several league titles at the start of the millennium were largely down to the brilliance of Henry. Now, though, the club are getting goals from across the pitch with the likes of Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott, and Mesut Ozil scoring freely like never before. After a season of lull, Sanchez seems to be back at his best. The winger already has six goals in 12 appearances across all competitions for Arsenal. Now, the former French and Arsenal striker reckons that Sanchez will be the key towards Arsenal winning the league title this season.

"You need that guy to be on point for Arsenal to win the league.The way he likes to share the ball, his work ethic, he will give you an assist as well. You need guys who are willing to help him and at the moment you have that.You need that 'plus guy' and Alexis Sanchez - he is that 'plus guy'," said Henry. Sanchez has been an important player for the gunners ever since his £35 million move from Barcelona a few years ago.
